
Since its inception, the science of hadith has remained among the most noble sciences of the shariʿah. The Hanbali madhhab, built on the narrations of Imam Ahmad, is uniquely intertwined with ʿulum al-hadith. Despite the dominance of the Shafiʿi school, few Hanbali contributions exist. One key Shafiʿi scholar, Ibn Mulaqqin, authored al-Tadhkirah as a guide for beginners and revision for advanced students. This is the first English explanation of that work, opening a gateway into classical hadith studies.
